Angels sign .737 OPS former Mariners outfield prospect
The Los Angeles Angels are taking a flier on a former Seattle Mariners outfield prospect. The 29-year-old recently opted out of his minor league deal with the Athletics and has a career .737 OPS in 109 Major League plate appearances. According to Ari Alexander of 7News, the Angels have signed Cade Marlowe to a minor league contract. From 2023-24, Marlowe hit .240/.330/.406 with three home runs and four stolen bases in six attempts. He struck out in 31.2% of his trips to the plate. In 2023, Marlowe was ranked as high as the Mariners' No. 16 prospect on MLB Pipeline.
