Earlier this year it was confirmed the UK government would be changing the rules surrounding how many branded items families must purchase ahead of the new school year.‌The change came into place on Tuesday September, 1 as part of the government's "Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act". The law aims to tackle the cost-of-living crisis, making uniforms cheaper for all.‌According to the Department for Education and Office of the Children's Commissioner, families could see up to £1,000 a year back in their pockets.‌As part of the new rule, schools will be required to cap the number of branded uniform items
