AmEx’s steady profit outlook clouds revenue forecast boost; shares fall

American Express raised its 2026 revenue forecast on Friday as its affluent customers continued to spend on travel, entertainment and dining, but its shares slipped 6 per cent as investors focused on an unchanged profit outlook.
