Alleged ex-NPA secretary surrenders in Caraga

SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — In an apparent significant blow to the remnants of the communist insurgency, a former high-ranking official of the dismantled North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC) of the New People’s Army (NPA) has voluntarily surrendered to government forces in Surigao del Sur. Elena Estaniel Rambuyon, 56, also known as “Sandara”
