Aland MLA seeks probe into alleged irregularities in crop insurance disbursal

Patil has sought an inquiry into alleged discrepancies in the disbursal of compensation under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).In a press release, Mr. Patil stated that farmers from Aland taluk had enrolled in large numbers in the scheme, trusting the government, but were now complaining that the insurance amount had not been credited to their accounts.He alleged that officials from the Agriculture Department had failed to provide clear information and were claiming that the amounts had been transferred to farmers’ bank accounts.
