Aisha Wahab wins special election to fill Swalwell’s former House seat

Democratic state Sen. Aisha Wahab defeated fellow Democrat Melissa Hernandez in a runoff to serve the remainder of former Rep. Eric Swalwell’s term after a vote count that stretched beyond election night.
