The Country Lead for the Clean Air Fund, Desmond Appiah, says Ghana's growing air pollution problem is imposing a heavy economic and public health burden on the country, warning that the open burning of waste during the nationwide clean-up exercise could worsen the situation. Speaking on JoyNews' The Pulse, Mr Appiah referenced a recent United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) report which estimates that ambient air pollution costs Ghana almost $2 billion each year through its impact on publ
