Aion targets supermini segment with new UT

Aion is aiming to break into the supermini segment with its new UT.The Chinese manufacturer, which is part of the larger GAC Group, arrived in the UK with its V SUV but has now expanded its range with the new UT.Set to go on sale from next month, the UT gets a 60kWh battery capable of delivering up to 268 miles of range. In addition, fast charging capability means that it can go from 10 to 80 per cent charge in around 30 minutes.Hooked up to a 201bhp electric motor, the UT can go from 0-60mph in around seven seconds.As standard, the UT comes with a high level of equipment including heated front seats, a 14.6-inch infotainment system and a 360-degree around-view camera.
