Africa’s Angola Jails 2 Russian Spies on Espionage, Terrorism Charges

Angola has jailed two Russians for 11 and 8 years respectively under charges that range from espionage to terrorism. Authorities accused the two of paying locals over $24,000 to spread anti-Western and pro-Russian propaganda and staging deadly protests, but the two denied the charges by arguing they were merely in the country to establish a Russian cultural center.
