ACC likely to be constituted soon as search process nears completion, new secretary says

The search committee has nearly completed the process of selecting a new Anti-Corruption Commission, and the commission is expected to take office once the necessary government procedures are completed, newly appointed ACC Secretary Saidur Rahman Khan said today."We expect it very soon. As far as I know, the search committee has almost finalised its work after holding meetings. Now the government has its own procedures to follow, and once those are completed, the new commission will join shortly," he said while speaking to journalists at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka's Segunbagicha.He acknowledged that the absence of a commission had resulted in a backlog of work and said the necessary preparations would be completed before the new commission assumes office.The official also announced plan
