ACB traps Tolichowki SI accepting ₹10,000 bribe
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a Sub-Inspector of Police attached to Tolichowki police station red-handed while allegedly accepting a ₹10,000 bribe from a complainant in exchange for extending an official favour.The accused officer was identified as R. Pandu Naik, SI of Tolichowki police station under the Golconda Zone of the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate. According to the ACB, he had demanded the money to not register a case against the complainant on a complaint lodged by his mother, settle the matter amicably between the family members and not seize his passport.The ACB’s City Range-I unit caught Naik while accepting the bribe on September 1.
