ACB records highest second-quarter case registrations since 1983

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) recorded its highest number of cases during the second quarter of a calendar year since 1983, registering 10 disproportionate assets (DA) cases, 34 trap cases and conducting 23 surprise checks, Director General Charu Sinha said while reviewing the Bureau’s performance on Tuesday.During a review meeting, Ms. Sinha expressed satisfaction over the Bureau’s performance, stating that the record number of cases reflected renewed focus, sustained vigilance and professional commitment towards tackling corruption.She commended officers and staff across various units for their work and stressed the need to maintain professional, fair and thorough investigations while continuously improving investigative standards and institutional vigilance.The ACB also organised a R
