ACB finds irregularities in Karimnagar civic body town planning section

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Karimnagar Range, found several irregularities and deficiencies during a surprise check at the Town Planning Section of the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation on August 18.During the inspection, the ACB officials verified office records, revenue-related transactions, pending applications and the overall functioning of the section. They found deficiencies in supervision and maintenance of records, monitoring of revenue collections, disposal and pendency of petitions, accountability in field enquiries and the use of official user credentials.The officials also noticed deficiencies in providing information and facilitating members of the public.The surprise check further indicated the presence of unauthorised middlemen or mediators allegedly collecting money fr
