ABC's Martin Fry looks forward to Radio 2's Big Weekend in Stirling

Martin Fry should know about Scottish audiences. He’s been performing here for more than four decades, most recently from a summer show at Kelvingrove Bandstand, to a concert a few years in Glasgow with the Southbank Sinfonia celebrating 40 years of The Lexicon of Love. From those earliest days, Martin Fry is the only original member, but aside from the lush arrangements and productions, the sound of ABC was always Fry’s voice – a definite soul boy but with the influences of the best of Bowie and Ferry. And “one of the great voices” that Trevor Horn had the pleasure to produce, the Lexicon of Love being his first full-length album production. Martin is bringing ABC to Stirling next weekend as part of Radio 2 in the Park 2026, taking place at City Park in Stirling from Friday 11 to Sunday 1
