A Black man once sentenced to death for murder fights for freedom after discovering his attorney defended the Ku Klux Klan
Myers, a Black man, was sentenced to death in 1994 for the murder of his White neighbour, Ludie Mae Tucker, a crime he maintains he did not commit. There was no DNA evidence tying him to the crime scene, where Tucker had been stabbed in the heart, according to court documents.
