949 motorists caught for drunk driving in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri

As many as 949 motorists were caught driving under the influence of alcohol in special enforcement drives conducted by the traffic police in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri commissionerate limits over the weekend, with two-wheeler riders accounting for nearly 80% of the offenders.While Hyderabad Traffic Police caught 421 drivers during a two-day special drive on August 7 and 8, Cyberabad Traffic Police apprehended 311 offenders during the same period and Malkajgiri Traffic Police caught 217 motorists between August 2 and 8.Of the combined 949 cases, 759 involved two-wheelers, 61 three-wheelers, 127 four-wheelers and two heavy vehicles.
