900 rescued in 48 hours from flooded industrial zone in rural Ahmedabad
In one of the largest flood relief operations the region has seen, more than 900 people were rescued in a span of 48 hours from the severely flooded Gallops Industrial Park near here, officials said.The rescued individuals were people who work at the Park in rural Ahmedabad’s Bavla, and their family members.Leading the operation that ended Saturday evening was Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Neelam Goswami.
