81st annual music and dance festival begins in Tirupati

POORNACHANDRA KUMAR The 81st edition of annual Sri Thyagaraja festival of music and dance commenced at Thyagaraja Hall in Tirupati on Saturday. TTD Executive Officer M. Ravichandra, who is also the ex-officio chairman of the Thyagaraja festival committee, formally inaugurated the event.The portrait of late M. Krishnaswami, the former chairman of the cultural trust, was unveiled by Mr. Ravichandra on the occasion of his birth centenary year.Speaking on the occasion, the Executive Officer praised the
