56 students of private college hostel taken ill in East Godavari

At least 56 students, including 50 girls, from Good Samaritans Home (GSH) Junior College in Dosakayalapalli fell ill on Friday (August 28, 2026) reportedly after being served lunch in the college hostel at Rangampeta Mandal in East Godavari district.The students reported vomiting and stomach pain after they had lunch in the hostel, claimed East Godavari District Medical and Health Officer Dr. P. Komala. The total strength of the hostel is 172. All the 56 students are being treated in Primary Health Centre in Dosakayalapalli and their condition is stable.
