50-bed critical care unit inaugurated at Government General Hospital in Khammam
The Congress government is strengthening the public healthcare delivery system by upgrading infrastructure and facilities in government hospitals, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao said.Mr. Rao inaugurated a 50-bed critical care unit at the Government General Hospital in Khammam on Tuesday evening. The new building housing the unit was constructed at an estimated cost of ₹23.75 crore.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the infrastructure and facilities at the hospital would be further upgraded to provide modern healthcare services to people of the region on par with the facilities available in Hyderabad.Khammam Collector Divakara T.S., Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt and Hospital Superintendent Narender, among others, were present.
