₹38.25 lakh spent on Karnataka CM D.K. Shivakumar’s swearing-in ceremony

Amid protests by the BJP, the Appropriation Bill was passed for supplementary estimates of ₹7,028.97 crore, including ₹2,648.38 crore from Central assistance. Among the additional expenditure was ₹38.25 lakh spent on the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara and Cabinet Ministers.The government also provided ₹1.2 crore towards reimbursement of the medical expenses of former Minister D. Sudhakar, who passed away recently. It allocated ₹19.50 lakh for repairs to Kumarakrupa Guest House, which now houses the office of the Chief Minister. An additional ₹60 lakh has been earmarked for construction, renovation and repair works at Kumarakrupa Annex residential quarters.The government also spent ₹5 crore on an event in Tumakuru to distribute
