22,500 yaba pills seized from private car in Bandarban

Police seized 22,500 yaba tablets from a private car in Bandarban town today and arrested its driver.The arrestee is Zakir, 33, said police.The operation was conducted by Bandarban Sadar Police Station around Friday afternoon near the Traffic Mor of the district town.Officers stopped a private car and found bundles wrapped in yellow cellophane tape. Each bundle contained 10 packets, with 150 tablets in each packet. A total of 15 bundles were recovered during the initial search.Police suspect more yaba may be concealed in other parts of the vehicle."The search is still ongoing,” said Shahid Parvez, officer-in-charge of Bandarban Sadar Police Station.Zakir was arrested and taken to the police station and the car seized.Bandarban Superintendent of Police Wahabul Islam Khandaker said the opera
