£217 cost of living boost for drivers - but over-80s only see £100

The average premium stood at £593 in June, down by more than a quarter from £810 in June 2024, according to Compare the Market.‌This marks a fall of 26 per cent over two years, with prices also lower than last June, when the average premium was £636. London and North West England have seen the biggest drop in insurance costs, with premiums dropping by 31 per cent over the past two years.
