£200,000 cycle lane could be closed after opening four years ago

A cycle lane was introduced on Fender Lane in 2022, at the cost of £204,500. The busy road, which connects Leasowe and Bidston, was reduced from a dual carriageway to one lane in each direction due to the cycle path, which was funded by government grants.Despite being controversial amongst many drivers, the cycle lane has been a welcome addition for keen pedallers.
