2 in custody after Streeterville crash following stolen vehicle stop

A man and woman were taken into custody after a stolen vehicle they were in struck an SUV following a traffic stop, Chicago police said. Officers in a marked squad car stopped a white sedan about 5:18 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of North Lake Shore Drive. The sedan had been reported stolen, and officers deployed a tire deflation device, puncturing a rear tire during a brief pursuit, police said.
