2 boys, both 15, shot in Calumet Heights

Two 15-year-old boys were wounded in a shooting late Wednesday in Calumet Heights, according to police. They were standing outside in the 9200 block of South Merrill Avenue at 11:30 p.m. when they got into an argument with someone that became physical, Chicago police said in a statement. The other person, who police said was male, then opened fire at the boys, striking one in the arm and the other in the leg, police said.
