101 taluks declared drought-hit, more may be added: Parameshwara

Parameshwara on Saturday said the State government has declared 101 taluks as drought-affected, and indicated that more could be brought under the drought-hit category after a fresh review in 15 days.He was speaking to reporters during his visit to the residence of Congress leader H.A. Venkatesh in Mysuru.Dr. Parameshwara said the drought memorandum would be submitted to the Centre by the end of August or the first week of September. “Crop losses are being assessed and, based on the assessment, we will prepare the report.
