1 dead, 2 rescued after plunging into Lake Michigan at 31st Street Beach

One man died and another was hurt after slipping under the waters of Lake Michigan near 31st Street beach late Sunday. Three men were walking in the 3100 block of South Eriksen Drive around 11:05 p.m. when they all fell into the water, Chicago police said. A witness and Chicago Fire Department personnel pulled the men out of the water, police said.
